Part TimeAs Community Outreach Officer you will coordinate the development and delivery of the In Good Company Program, a series of activities and information sessions to be delivered across the Somerset Region to reduce social isolation and loneliness in persons aged 60 years and over.
Working within the community development team, as well as collaborating with officers from across Council,
various community stakeholders and service providers to deliver projects throughout the region, you will employ community development principles to achieve social connection, wellbeing, knowledge, and skill development through the delivery of activities in community halls, public spaces and council libraries throughout the region.
To be successful in the role, you will require:
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering activities, ideally for seniors.
• Ability to recruit and manage volunteers
• Exceptional customer service, communication, and engagement skills.
