About the role

This position is a permanent full-time role in the People and Safety team, based at the Moruya Administration Office. It will provide expert strategic and technical advice, including coordination of internal processes relating to Industrial Relations and Award interpretation to support the organisation.

Your main duties will include:

  • Providing expert advice on grievance management, workplace change and industrial relations including interpretation of the Award and associated legislation.
  • Relationship management of key stakeholders during industrial relations matters.
  • Providing guidance and assistance with legislative and Award interpretation to the Payroll Team.
  • Providing system focused technical expertise and recommendations to aid in the delivery of high-level Human Resource services and continuous business improvement.
  • Work with the People and Safety team to improve and refine work processes on performance management across the organisation and determine and provide process efficiencies and benefits.

Salary Information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $106,899.01 to $134,306.70 gross per annum consisting of:

  • $95,873.55 to $120,454.44 base salary
  • $11,025.46 to $13,852.26 superannuation (at 11.5%)

A satisfactory outcome as a result of a National Criminal History Record Check is required for appointment to this position.

About you

You will hold relevant qualifications with significant practical experience in industrial relations and grievance management in local government or a regulatory environment. You will be a high achiever with a can-do attitude and further demonstrate the following:

  • Relevant experience in provision of expert advice on grievance management, workplace change and industrial relations matters including application of contemporary Award and industrial related conditions of employment.
  • Previous management of industrial relations processes.
  • High level negotiating skills and strong stakeholder management with an ability to build and maintain functional working relationships.
