Quality Education Officer (Part time, Fixed Term up to 26 June 2026)

About the role 

This position is a fixed term, part time role in the Children Services team and based at the Moruya Administration Office. This role will provide positive and inspiring development assistance and quality improvement support for Children’s Services programs.

Your main duties will include:

• Providing regular and focused guidance and support to Out of School Hours (OOSH) and Family Day Care (FDC) Educational Leaders to improve learning pedagogies and confidence in programming.
• Reviewing services’ assessment and rating reviews and work with staff to establish plans to meet and exceed national standards particularly in relation to inclusion, cultural and environmental awareness and community engagement.
• Developing and coordinating local contacts to engage with services and improve networks.
• Developing and maintaining positive partnerships with families, children and staff to ensure high satisfaction levels of clients. 

Salary information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $42.07 to $46.18 gross per hour consisting of:

• $37.73 to $41.42 base salary
• $4.34 to $4.76 superannuation (at 11.5%)

Appointment to this position is subject to the following:

• A satisfactory outcome as a result of a National Criminal History Record Check.
• Medical clearance to verify that you are safely able to undertake the duties of the position.
• A verified clearance as a result of the Working with Children Check.

About you

You are qualified in Early Childhood Education and Care with experience in leadership and team development as well as programming and implementing a range of experiences for children and staff.  You will be a high achiever with a can-do attitude and demonstrate the following:

• Experience in the development of plans to address the National Quality Standards.
• Experience documenting and maintaining records with well-developed time management skills and communication skills (both oral and written).
• Knowledge of the law, regulations and standards for education and care services.
