About the position

The Community Connector Project Support Officer will support the delivery of the Department of Regional NSW’s The Welcome Experience Program over a two year period. This position will work within the guidelines to support key workers which aims to attract, welcome, support and retain essential workers to key regional areas. (Singleton Council, Muswellbrook Shire Council, Upper Hunter Shire Council). The position will liaise with community groups, businesses and organisations to promote the benefits of the program and to recognise opportunities for engagement.

About you

  • Certificate IV Administration or similar with minimum 3 years’ experience in customer facing roles relevant to the requirements of the position;
  • Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills and ability to connect with people from all parts of the community;
  • Comprehensive understanding of local social and economic opportunities within the region to support essential worker new to the area
  • Ability to network with local services, attractions and groups and advocate for the region.
  • A current NSW Drivers License and flexibility to work weekends and afterhours as required.
  • Previous experience in using a CRM system (desirable).
  • Advanced competence in the use of Microsoft Office Software.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in the Position Description).
  • Demonstrated Fundamental Level key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in the Position Description).

We offer

  • Temporary Full Time, 35 hours per week, Term Contract up until 30 July 2026 with an hourly rate from $36.6043 to $44.1406 per hour (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 11.5% superannuation and access to Indoor Accrued Time (Flexi).
  • Temporary Part Time, 17.5 hours per week, Term Contract up until 30 July 2026 with an hourly rate from $36.6043 to $44.1406 per hour (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 11.5% superannuation.
