The Team leader role requires experience in court prosecution for the following pieces of legislation Domestic Animals Act 1994, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986, Impounding Livestock Act 1994 and Council’s Local Laws.
This role works closely with and provides support and assistance to the Ballarat Animal Shelter and Coordinator Animal Servcies.
As Team Leader- you will be responsible for implementation of SOPs, Council process and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You will also be required to manage escalations from the community and coordinate warrant and seizure processes.
You like to work autonomously and within the team, will be comfortable leading a complex team dealing with highly emotive situations. Animal Welfare and responsible pet ownership will be a priority to you and providing a safe community and the ability to foster community connections will be important. Making decisions to foster community safety and animal welfare outcomes, you enjoy providing a high standard of customer service, keep detailed records, follow processes and have demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and negotiation.
