This position supports and administers arts, culture, and creative projects within the Cultural Development portfolio, including public art projects, civic art collection, Braemar Gallery, artist-in-residence initiatives, and creative spaces developments. Working within the Arts and Culture Service, this part-time officer role assists in the delivery of the 2020-2027 Creative Strategy and supports and promote cultural activities throughout the Blue Mountains LGA.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic and innovative thinker with attention to detail, ability to communicate and promote the arts, and experience in project or event delivery. The right candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in a similar position within the cultural sector. Enthusiasm and familiarity with the Blue Mountains creative community is desired, as is a deep commitment to fostering a healthy, engaging, and vibrant arts ecosystem.
Position is part-time: 6 days per fortnight as agreed on a monthly roster. Weekend work will be required.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $68,704 (pro-rata) gross per annum
+ 11.5% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
