Armidale Regional Council is looking for a Ranger for our
Companion Animal Shelter

Do you have a passion for working with and re-homing stray and/or abandoned animals, and participating in General Council Ranger duties then this position could be for you.

In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the shelter, care for stray and abandoned animals, and promote their rehoming. Your responsibilities will include caring for and managing animals at the shelter,
maintaining the shelter facilities, handling larger animals and livestock, and conducting community education programs on responsible pet ownership. You’ll get to work with a fantastic team of volunteers and
collaborate with organisations like the RSPCA.

The position may also include other Ranger duties, which may include control of nuisance, menacing or dangerous dogs, straying stock, abandoned vehicles, vehicle parking and littering. Availability to work
weekends and on call is essential.
