A full time Administration Support role exists where you will be able to make a significant contribution to a trusted brand within The Salvation Army - Salvos Funerals. About the Role We are looking for a self-driven and empathetic individual to join our expanding Salvos Funerals team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the purpose of the Administration Support role is to support the administrative function of Salvos Funerals. The scope includes communicating via phone and email with families who are enquiring about funeral needs that will include imminent or ‘at need’, along with prepaid funeral and general enquiries. The role can sometimes be demanding but is very rewarding. The opportunity is permanent full time and based in Blackburn. Key responsibilities: Customer Support: respond to all enquiries from family/community members in a timely manner. Provide relevant estimates and information to Families within agreed and appropriate timeframes. Admin Support: manage the administration component of prepaid funeral contracts and other areas of Salvos Funerals Data Management: maintenance of all administrative documentation including accurate and assessable filing and archiving of both electronic and manual paperwork Oversee the security and collection of ashes and coordinate delivery to families About You The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who has excellent communication skills and impeccable attention for detail. Key capabilities: Previous experience in a similar administration position is preferable, but not essential An ability to be empathetic, sensitive to the nature of enquiries and the ability to work with grieving and distressed individuals Proficient in the use of basic software systems Why work for us: Hybrid working environment and ability to work from our office or working from home.
