About the role We are seeking a values-driven AOD Education Support Worker who will provide education around AOD use and harm reduction through a flexible case management model to young people aged between 15-25 within the region of Karratha. This model is underpinned by trauma-informed care. Key responsibilities Develop and deliver a safe and supportive AOD education and support programme Undertake activities to achieve key outcomes of the AOD education and support programme Actively build networks with specialist AOD and mental health services in the community and provide young people with warm referrals to these services as appropriate Attend and complete all training and professional development opportunities through The Salvation Army and the Mental Health Commission pertaining to the role This is a full-time, permanent position located in Karratha, WA. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Level 4. The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Education and Support Worker will improve the health, well-being and social outcomes of young people by delivering alcohol and other drug support interventions to both young people accommodated at The Salvation Army Karratha Youth Accommodation Service and those young people in the wider community.
