Why this role matters Salvos Stores is the retail division of The Salvation Army and we’re best known for recycling pre-loved goods at our 350 stores throughout Australia. Now we’re selling online too! We’re on the hunt for a natural trailblazer to lead our amazing and diverse team of Online Sales staff and volunteers. This position will head up our Online Hub in Noble Park, Vic. To, what are we looking for? You’re the type of person who is good with people and has experience motivating a team to achieve targets. You’re also tech-savvy and not afraid of a keyboard. With new items listed every day, and new volunteers joining most weeks - no day is the same at our Online Hub. Here’s some of the things you can expect to do in this role: Provide leadership and direction to a team of staff and volunteers. Oversee listing creation from check in to photography and dispatch. Share your knowledge with new volunteers and team members to ensure everyone can hit the ground running when they join us. Ensure the office is safe at all times Liaise with key stakeholders such as Store Managers, Area Managers and Warehouse Managers to ensure they’re across the Online Sales operation About the role To manage the daily operations of the Salvos Stores Online Customer Service team, including the management of staff and volunteers. Ensure exceptional customer service and internal store support to achieve sustainable growth in online sales to support The Salvation Army’s community programs. You Will Successfully Contribute: eCommerce related support for stores Assist stores with any online order related queries Provide remote technical support with any website issues and tasks Maintain and manage the collaborative and friendly relationship with all internal stakeholders Customer service Assist with answering customer queries regarding product specifications, delivery and feedback. Ensure the optimal customer experience for all online store users with timely resolution for all queries Treat all customers and internal stakeholders with respect. Team leadership Manage a customer support team to ensure support availability for customers and stores 8am - 4pm during working days. Develop and support the Customer Support Team for optimal service delivery Escalate any relevant feedback and concerns to line management in timely and professional manner You Will Have A current Working with Children Check or relevant state equivalent is a mandatory requirement Drivers License Ability and willingness to work as an engaged member of a cohesive and enthusiastic team. Ability to effectively manage time and prioritise tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential. Intermediate Microsoft Office and general computer skills. Knowledge of online sales, including experience selling on eBay or Depop, would be advantageous. Sound administrative skills including attention to detail and accuracy. Accountability to autonomously produce work to a high standard.
