About the role

The Librarian will be responsible for ensuring high quality library services are provided to the Tenterfield Shire Council community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement library policies, procedures, and strategic plans.
• Manage the library's budget, resources, and day-to-day operations in line with standards and guidelines.
• Supervise, mentor, and support library staff and volunteers.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and promptly resolve enquiries and concerns.
• Promote library services, programs, and Tenterfield's historical significance.
• Collaborate with community organizations on library programs and events.
• Manage the library's collection, ensuring it is diverse, current, and relevant.
• Oversee digital services and provide support for digital resource use.
• Monitor user trends, compile statistics, and prepare reports with recommendations for improvements.
