Community Bus Driver

Council is seeking an enthusiastic applicant with a can-do attitude to join our team as a Community Bus Driver.

This position will report to Council’s Group Manager, Customer & Council Support Services.

Duties covered will include and not be limited to the following:

• Transport community members from Blackall, Tambo, and Jericho to meet up with scheduled Greyhound Services;
• Assisting passengers with baggage and mobility devices;
• Cleaning and maintaining the Community Bus;
• Complete transport logs as required and follow compliance and legislated
  requirements.

We are looking to appoint someone with the following qualities;

➢ Current MR Queensland drivers Licence.
➢ Current Bus Operator Licence and a safe driving record.
➢ Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
➢ Good interpersonal skills and a friendly disposition.
➢ Ability to pass a Queensland Police Check.
➢ Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain.
➢ Fit and healthy applicant with the ability to lift luggage and mobility items.
➢ Ability to work with limited supervision and direction.
➢ Local knowledge of the Blackall-Tambo Region and surrounding communities.
➢ Commitment to safe work practices.
