About the Opportunity
You will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of Council’s strategic
planning framework and its broad range of strategic projects, documents, and
policy initiatives which respond to current and emerging issues, community
expectations, and legislative responsibilities.
The position is expected to work with a significant level of autonomy to
deliver the requirements of the role and in a range of cross functional teams
to deliver the diverse range of strategic projects, policies and documents,
including master plans, regional strategies, local government infrastructure
plans, and land use planning.
The role will be responsible for developing strategies and initiatives
which respond to current social, cultural, environmental, and economic
trends and issues, which deliver on the Council’s corporate plan.
About Yourself
You will have proven/demonstrated experience:
1) To think strategically, analyse complex situations, develop creative
solutions and ideas, and achieve outcomes.
2) In designing and implementing strategic design processes, conceptualisation, economic, cultural and social impact analyses, and
project design processes.
3) In the initiation and subsequent preparation of strategic projects, policies
and documents, including master plans, regional strategies, local
government infrastructure plans, and land use planning.
4) In high level facilitation, negotiation, and advocacy skills and experience
across a variety of council departments and external government and
non-government agencies.

Salary Packaging Available

Leave Loading
You will receive 17.5% leave loading on top of your base rate of pay, while you are on Annual Leave.
